3年前、テキサスで買ったキャップが気に入りすぎて、いつか自分のオリジナルでこのキャップを作りたいと思うようになった。
色々調べていくうちに、The Game @thegamecapsという会社にたどり着いた。さらに調べてみると、自分流にカスタマイズしてオリジナルキャップを作れるらしい。
さっそくデザインを進めて、いよいよ注文という最終段階までいったものの、そこで注文ができずストップ。全部英語でのやり取りだったのでハードルが高く、英語の先生に頼って何度もコンタクトを取ってみたけど返信なし。アメリカの知人にも頼ってみたけど、それもうまくいかず、最後には現地在住の方に電話で問い合わせてもらって、ようやく繋がることができた。
注文に必要なコードを送ってくれるという話だったけど、その後まったく連絡はなく、計画は頓挫。
作りたいのに、まったく作れない。
そんな状況が続いた結果、このTシャツを作ることに。
The cap I picked up in Texas three years ago has become one of my absolute favorites.
Ever since, I've wanted to create my own take on that cap someday.
After a lot of digging, I landed on a company called The Game @thegamecaps . Looking further into it, I found out they could make fully custom caps to order.
I worked up a design and made it all the way to the final step — placing the order. And that's where it stopped.
The whole process was in English, so I had my English teacher help me reach out — multiple times. No reply.
I tried through contacts in the US — still nothing. Eventually, I had someone living locally call them directly, and we finally got through.
They were supposed to get back to us to move things forward. After that — silence. The whole plan fell through.
I wanted to make it. I just couldn't.
So out of all that — this T-shirt.
